i love the tails but hate how the circuitry shows. i think they should have used the old mack truck red led reflectors on the inside and shaved them down if the size was an issue.

i was planning on buying in the group buy but thats is gone 325 plus extras is a little high imo

 

the lights are perfectly visible from the side

the ones in that picture are different than the ones you have installed. I only counted 12 and 8 leds in the rings in the original post, but in the picture above there are ~16 leds in the outer ring ...

 

the above pictures were taken back in december and were version 2 of the tails. Mike has fixed some problems that he was having with that version (compatibility between 05/06 and 07) and i guess lost some led's in the process. no worries though, it's still PLENTY bright.

 

i would like to see a few picts if possible..

1: where the blinker board stops at the outside edge..
2: a shot shooting behind the halo of the brake so as to see behind the halo

it's really hard to see behind the led board. i couldnt see directly behind it.

 

i really like the led pattern. it's exactly what i've envisioned all along. the only thing i'm not digging is the visible led board. but very nice looking tails nevertheless.
