Default hatch help anyone

Ok so I was washing my car today and noticed something really awkward about my hatch. There a noticeable gap between the hatch on the left side but the right side is flush like it should. The gap collects water now and I dont know what could be wrong. I looked at the rubber spacers and stuff but couldnt figure out why. What could be causing this gap thats about as thick as a sharpie?

do you have anything in the trunk like a huge speaker box that isn't allowing the trunk to close all the way???

mine is a 2005 which i kinda regret because a lot of the gaps on my car are off which is usually common for a first year production but the hatch is totally out of whack and it only happened recently im so confused.

yup theres nothing in the trunk that blocks it from closing. im not too sure if its the hatch having a closing problem or not because it seems to beshut all the way just a gap exists. my struts seem ok but i'll have em checked by scion and replaced if needed. hopfeully thats the problem...
