Which bulbs do you recommend.. I'm looking for a bright purple light , not some cheap one , I want a BRIGHT bulb, any suggestions?

 

You cant get both BRIGHT light and purple color in one. Its one or the other. Purple will just be color is all with worse lighting than regular halogen bulbs will give you.

In my opinion your better off getting a PNP 4300k HID kit or doing a retrofit.

purple is illegal and will get a lot of attention....like stated before, you can get some cheap high wattage purple bulbs or a 12000k hid kit but they will put out less light than your regular halogen bulbs

 

Nothing is illegal in Miami.. any websites you guys know where I can find a BRIGHT purple light?

 

Listen to the people who have told you that purple and bright don't go together. The higher temp you go in HIDS the less and less light output you get. Maximum light output is around the 4k area. Its going to be same tint as stock, slightly yellow. The temp your seeking is probably almost 12k. All this is going to do is blind the ____ out of other drivers and give you the poorest light output. Not to mention look rice.

I really like the projector lights from the 08 models and up, I have an 07 with the Halogen, would I be able to swap them out if I bought 2 08-10 headlights just like that or would I have to change some wiring?

 

lol at bulbs man just get a hid kit, you can pick them up wth bulbs for 50shipped. just check out the hidxtra or ddm tuning. i have 4300k mod-express 35w ballasat and apt fogs plenty of light 4300 will provide you with the most light 5k to 6k is more common on your luxury car 12k is dumb less light than stock dingy halogens lol

 

so the lower the K, the better light? do they come in different colors?

u can even do hid's in the fogs you just got just get a h3 kit but that would be overkill lol

 

yes lower K means more light...only colors are 3000-yellow, 4300-white, 5000/6000k-kinda whitish blue, 8000-blue, 10000-blue/purple, 12000-purple......anything over 8000k is illegal and stupid

I'm looking into buying this HID conversion kit, its asking me if I want the relay? Do I need this?

 

if you get anything past 6k HID's you'll have POOR as hell output, worse then stock halogen's.

purple is roughly 12k & up meaning in the dark or in the rain/fog your not gonna see a damn thing in front of you just have that horrendous color.

I've had my kit for 4-5 yrs now I bought it on ebay for 65 shipped I have 4300k's you don't necessarily need a relay, I don't have one and my kits been fine for quite some time

 

and yes purple is very illegal, any modification's done to headlights that isn't OEM is illegal, some people can pull it off more then others bc the colors aren't bad. Blue/purple is illegal.
