i need to relocate my blinkers on my taillights... i was thinking.. it would be very easy to replace my backup lights with blinkers.. just swich some wires.. but i would rather have my blinkers thru the brakelights?? is that possible without having to do alot of work?

i dont know alot about the way its wired up.. but i have to relocate the blinkers to a lower position..

you can wire your reverse lights into blinkers with some diodes and still keep the use of the reverse lights. why would you want to do that tho?

 

is there any way you could explain that in detail?? if so il show you why i am doing it- if not im just gonna replace my reverse bulbs with some hyper yellow led bulbs and not have reverse lighting.. lol but id like to have both

 

no reverse lighting is not only highly illegal. but also extremely stupid. have fun getting hit and having to pay for everything and maybe getting in a ton more trouble because you dont have reverse lights.

 

just wanted to say i know in Illinois that reverse lights are not mandatory

 

don't be stupid and drive w/o reverse lights. all you need to do is to put a diod inline with the +12v of the reverse light, put another diode inline with the +12v of the signal line and connect the two together to the +12v of the reverse bulb....repeat for other side, simple as cake.

 

sweet- is there any legal issues with having white turn signals?

 

and im looking at diodes and im not really sure what i need to buy... is there a special kind, or strength that i need

the back i believe your only allowed to have yellow or red.

 

here in calif is more like...

driving, brake = Red

back up = White

REAR turn signal = Red, Yellow (amber too but to me it just looks the same as yellow)
