HID headlight questions. Please help
Hi guys, I'm a BIG noob at this so was wondering if you guys can answer some questions for me.
I'm looking to by a HID kit for my 2006 TC. www.hidkit.com has them for $79.99. I've done alot of searching and everyone says you get what you pay for. I've went to other websites and they seem to be around this price but there are some for like $140. I don't know if $79.99 is a average price or this is one of those gimicky products.
Also they said the one they sell is AGT (Advanced German Technologies). Not sure if this brand is any good.
Also for a relay it's additional $35. I've done alot of searching and reading and it seems like everyone recommends this. Can any explain to me what this does and why it's recommended or if I even need it at all.
Thank you

Not sure if that company is good, but look at hidextra on here, they have kits for $65 and have good reviews. Basically the relay allows you to hook the power up to the battery so it is not drawing power from the stock wiring. When the HIDs are on they draw less power than the stock bulbs but they require more power to start up and it has fired some peoples wiring
I would suggestion taking a look at www.ddmtuning.com
They sell affordable 35 and 55 watt slim ballast systems.

Also, they come with a lifetime warranty, thats something to think about when purchasing HID's.
