Default HID help

Now i'm not a noob when it comes to HIDs. Ive installed them in my previous car, and i've also read all the DIY so I knew exactly how to install them into the TC. I put the bulbs in place first, into the housing. then i connected them to the ballasts. I hooked up the power and ground wires. I left the passenger side female plug free and taped it up with electrical tape. Am i missing something? I was wondering if anyone has ever received HIDs that had bad bulbs from the company? or if the bulbs could have been damaged while in transit? how do i tell if the bulbs are bad or blown? the HIDs are Xenons. and i'm 99.99 precent sure that i hooked up all the wiring correctly. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

You know the ballast that has an oval silver shaped hole for the plug looks like this ( ) , well the plug(from the bulb) that goes in it turn it 180 degrees and then plug it in. hope that will work...

i don't think both bulbs will be bad. hmm did you use a relay? or just connected straight through using the car's wiring? check to see if the HIDs work by connecting them straight to the battery.
