I have an 07 tc and I really want to get an HID kit. I have been searching but I dont seem to find the answers Im looking for. I dont want to do a retrofit because I dont want to spend alot of money and I dont want to buy the 08 projectors because I dont like them. My question is, If I put and HID kit in my stock headlights will I run into any problems?

 

No, I have an '07 with 6000k HID's and it's fine. It's just a lot of glare but that's the only "problem", if you could even call it one.

 

yeah you'll be fine and won't run into any problems, the glare isn't bad so you have nothing to worry about. i'd recommend getting 5k or 6k from HIDextra, they are having a special right now so get it while you can before the price goes up again.

i have HIDextra's 5000K kit on my car. only complaints i have on having HIDs in the old reflector housing is that the beam focus is only strong in the center and wont distribute the light evenly like it would on projectors. also the glare becomes an issue to oncoming traffic and you dont have a nice cutoff.

 

I'm also planning on buying an HID kit from them. 57 bucks can't beat them. 6k for me. maybe even get a set for my fogs.

 

i got my HIDs from Meng.. the guy is right in san jose/milpitas so i just had him bring them out to a meet some night and picked them up right there.
