Default HIDs not working :/

So I put in some 10000k hid's in my Tc today and they worked where I installed them and driving all the way back to my house, but 2 hours later when I came out to my car to show my friend the new lights...they just flickered on and then stayed off. Anytime i go to turn on the headlights all they do is flicker on for less than a second and stay off.

How can I fix this problem?

i just went out and kinda checked my connections (its a little hard to do at night lol) they all appear to be fine. I would think though if it were a connection issue that one HID would be working and the other wouldn't...it seems strange that both are having the same symptom

which is why i think your main wiring harness has a problem somewhere.... that would affect both lights...

HAHA! maybe your HID's are not designed for showing off.

ok if you think its my main harness then what more specifically do you think could be the problem? My other friend said that it could be the fuses and they should be upgraded to 30mA but the fuses aren't blown so it couldn't be that...

are the connections on the battery secure? are the connections going into and out of the fuse holder on the harness secure? is the connection for remote turn on for the relay secure? the plugs that are for your original bulbs...a re they dirty?

i mean, shoot. they worked... it's not like they're broken

for this kit you don't attatch it straight to the batter...you stick little metal prongs into the former light socket and electric tape it up. That way the existing headlight switch will still turn on the headlights.

Are you saying that me installing a relay for that could solve the problem? I don't see how it could since the damn things worked b4. This is really frustrating :/

you have to stick little metal prongs into the stock sockets? and you pull *all* that power through the stock wiring? ummm... HID's on startup pull *alot* of power, and i dont think little metal tidbits shoved into a connector are all that great :-/ let alone pulling that much power through iddy biddy wires.

i'd check on the prongs...

ok so its not the connection cause i cut off those stupid metal prongs and straight sodered them to the headlight wires behind the socket. They h ave power and ground going into the ballest but the ballest are sending two grounds to the bulb...what could that be a sign of?

The brand of the HID's are Xentec

Do you guys think i may need to wire up a relay to give them more amps?

does anyone have the wireing diagram for the headlight system? My mechanic thinks it may be a resistor or relay issue and i need to know which ones are connected to the headlight system

Why don't you test your HID's with another car and see if it is working.

connection is everything when it comes to electrical stuff.
If you installed the kit correctly and the connections are good, then the kit sucks!
