Default High Pitched Whistle in Cabin

I have a RS3 and I have come to notice more and more that there is a high pitched whistle when I get up over 55mph. I have checked all the seals on doors and sunroof and as far as I can tell everything is in place. I am thinking its a poor seal in the windshield but I am perplexed. So my question is: Is this a warrantable item? I'm thinking of taking the car in on thursday but I was wondering if anyone else has run into the same problem...thanks everyone!

i thought there was a recall about that, it was something to do with the special grill insert or something, there are threads about this, so search around, i'm pretty sure there was a dealership service bulletin about this, so it is a free fix.

I had the same thing going on. I disconnected the battery to install my intake and when i reconnected it i had to reset the sunroof. Open completely and close it. Problem solved. No more annoying whistle. Give it a shot.

ok I called the dealer and they said it is a known issue with the rs3 and that the fix would be free under warranty... so my question is since its winter the only thing I have on the car is the exhaust, injen cai, and tein lowering spring,,, this shouldn't affect the warranty right? exhaust is catback

right, it is a known problem, so there is no way your mods would effect covering this under warranty.
