Hood Scoop + S/C
i've noticed s/c problems are mostly caused by extreme heat from stock and after market headers. i have not yet seen or heard of 1 lasting close to 50,000 clicks (miles). i was wondering if a smooth hood scoop design that forces extreme heat down and away from the s/c application would help stop heat issues. i know other vented hoods let heat out and over. diversion panels also keep heat in the engine bay. i wish we had a guide for tc aerodynamics, it would make AM parts choices a lot smarter. not all clean looks are healthy.
I have a TRD S/C and a vented hood, when I'm at a red light you can see all the heat coming out from it, trust me...I'm glad I have it, I sell these hoods if you are interested, thanks.

I have the S/C and the kamanari hood and I dont think heatsoak is a issue with The TRD superchargers. if you had a header and didnt wrap it or heat coat it then yea maybe but just a normal stock setup wont have any effect on power heat wise. But as always the cooler the better. I see heat coming up from my kamanari hood as well.
I assume the combinatino of the Air Diversion panel and the hood helps since air gets directed to the heat shield area and then goes up thru the vent of the hood when moving.
