I have taken off the 2 covers and have tried twisting to the left nearly cutting and breaking my hands both times and nothing! I have tried googlein and thread searching and have found nothing outside of " remove covers twist to the left and replace" so if anyone knows what they are in there so damn tight of if they're locked in please let me know.

 

yeah its a pain its almost stuck on lol get sum pliers and hold it and turn to the left it will come out easier that way

 

need some pliers and twist to the left.

 

yeah i thought i was doin it wrong but the plyers work great. once u get them off for the first time its easy to do it again. good luck

 

what do you mean by remove covers? like covers inside the hatch? or covers as in lens/plastic/glass whatever it is lol.

 

hatch covers, there's 2 holes in the hatch where the license plate bulbs go

 

its a little tricky but as everyone else says need some plyers and twist to the left just be careful..its in a very small spot
