I just had someone chuck a rock at my windshield a few weeks ago, cracked it in the same spot on the passenger side. It cost me $360 to replace, that included a new molding around the windshield. This is in Ohio, don't know how much thats affected by region.

ummm...you may want to check to see if you have full glass coverage on your insurance. if you do (like i do), it should cost you $0.

The insurance company should pay to have it replaced and will not count it against your policy (i.e. won't raise your rates). http://www.crackedwindshield.com/faq-insurance.html#1

You can pay out of pocket if you really want to, but if you do, ask around since they're willing to price match.
