It's not easier to see in the front window, it lays at an angle and the glass gives a glare. It's also a hazard should you get into an accident or make an evasive maneuver.

I drove around without a front plate for nearly 2 years before a cop pulled me over, deciding it wasnt worth the hassle I ordered a front plate relocater from eight08customs.com

I just recently took my front plate off like about a week ago. Im hoping i at least last as long as you gomdangie. Being that im in Cali(the most strict state), im paranoid the luck of not getting pulled over won't last long, but if i get pulled over ill try and make up an excuse and hopefully the cop will be cool and let it slide. What's the best excuse u guys think will work on the cops about the missing front plate?

One cool thing to do is put them to the side of the car, not center, makes it look cooler

lol, when I took off my plate at first, i was going to put some bumper plugs in it, but I thought to myself... hmmm.... what if a cop pulls me over and i say something like, sombody thought it would be funny to take it off while my car was parked outside... but I would have to bumper plugs plugged in..... that would be kind of hard to believe...

so I left those bumper plugs out

i wish they would come up witha way so that you wouldnt have to drill into the bumper for the plate other than that motorized one that i found on jcwhitney's page that hides the plate for shows

CA police are very strict.
pretty much everyone I know that took off the front plate has gotten a ticket shortly aftwards.
In So Cal its gauranteed ticket. no plate plus tC is gonna get you pulled over the moment you take em off just as much as driving a civic si with no plates. their trained to look for potential rice rockets, I suppose since so many people in Cali think theyre fast n furious.

I haven't punched the holes into my bumper yet, since I don't have to have a front plate in AZ. When I move back to NJ i'm going to have to do something tho, I think I might just put a plate on my dash instead of mounting it on the bumper.

it doesnt mean that you wont get pulled over... try driving in LAX... you'll be lucky to drive past a cop twice and not get pulled over.

luckily i'll be getting new plates and it takes forever to get them so i'll be riding around w/ back tempplate for a while so i wont have to deal with it for a while. but was just curious. because i know when you go to shows and you take em off it looks bad having the holes.
