i didn't query the item but i have JDM IS300 fogs on my ride. I would recommend them if you don't want to cut the bumper though, because you WILL have to cut the bumper to make them fit.

But, like the guy above me said I'd recommend VRD because they fit right into the side housing.

There is no such thing as JDM foglights, but if you are going for that style, I'd go with VRD

Once Toyota starts selling the tC in Japan, and offers foglights that are different than USDM foglights, then you can post about JDM foglights.

ITSAXA, Are you calling the foglights "JDM" because that's what the seller called them; that's what I assumed it was, but didn't go to the item.

Folks are protective about using "JDM" on this forum. Anyway like I said I have JDM IS300 (yes I know that's not the name of the car in Japan) fogs. Mine look like the USDM IS300, but all clear.

I just got the VRD's this week.. they are awesome, and took about 20 minutes to install... most of that was taking the bumper off... You can get the VRD's with hyper white H3's for $192 shipped, from Kazespeed on ebay.

trust me, we all know they market them as JDM parts because the JDM name implies higher quality and extra cooliness... yes cooliness.

The issue being that people on SL feel it necessary to point out that our cars are not produced in Japan so there is no way you can have JDM specific parts for your tC.

There are no such thing as JDM products for the tC specifically. Companies may say they are, but that is false advertising. The only thing JDM about them is probably that they were made in some sweatshop for 10 cents....

Well JDM in no way means higher quality either. People just seem to think it makes their car special to have "JDM" parts on it. Some of the parts are different than US spec, so some like to have the different look. But now the rice-tuner market seems to advertise that they have "JDM" parts for just about everything. But, as mentioned, there is no such thing as JDM on the tC since the car is a USDM car made in Japan. So that is where the argument comes in.

But, if you like the part, regardless of how it is marketed, then that is fine and dandy. However, you should be VERY careful ordering parts off ebay (some are ripoffs you know) and the fact that a company sells JDM parts, which are not JDM parts should point that they are another tuner company scamming people. So be careful for sure.

these "Larger" vent fog lights I do have. Would have preferred the VRDs but then I would have a HUGE visible crack...lol. Anyways, here are my pics and install was easy. No need to take off the bumper either, btw I have H3 yellow bulbs:

Never said they were higher quality... just that it implies it. People just have a thing for those darn JDM products, I got suckered into it and now I can't escape.
