I did it, but I swapped out the harnesses since my old harnesses burnt out from the Luminics. I picked up a pair of 9005 harnesses and installed them into my low beam wiring.

From there, it was a matter of swapping the old bulbs to 9005 Silverstars... I have them in the low and the high beams so they match.

Couldn't be happier considering how affordable this mod was.

I remember doing this mod a year ago, the improvement on light output was great but I went with H.I.D.s few weeks later and then now I'm settled with 08 headlights with H.I.D.s and I love it! my old silverstar ultra's are in my dad's camry and still working fine!

My 9005 to 9006 mod lasted me alittle more than a year. I loved it. It was super bright without glare.

Now Im on HIDs with Modded Anzo projectors. I love these even more hahhah

One of the SilverStars in my lowbeams went bad... good thing my high beams were the 9005 SilverStars too... swapped them out in a couple of minutes and then I'm on the road just like that!!! I'll just have to pick up a new SilverStar when I get a chance to swing by the store.

had this mod for a good while, more than a year i think? I did this to my sister's tC aswell. On the same week one bulb on each of our tC's went out. Went back to stock on both our tC's, although im waiting to send off my materials to get an HID retro done, so no need for this mod again. However, while it lasted. this mod drew an amazing difference in output compared to stock. Once i went back to stock i noticed the poor output stock has compared to this mod. its highly recommended!!

The important thing is to not touch the bulb with your bare hands during the install. Keep a micro fiber cloth
handy. Just about 2 years here and no problems. Agree with Yanki, light output is A LOT better than OEM.

I did this mod on my tC with a couple different types of bulbs... only problem was I noticed they would burn out every 6-7 months or so. I was putting enough money into replacement blubs that I figured it was worth it just to buy HIDs given their longevity if you get quality ones...

By bulbs lasted about 2.5 years before burning out, which was a quick and easy fix.

All I did was buy two more, at $20/pair, and i'm set!

I'm still a HUGE fan of the conversion, and would look forward to doing it to any non-HID vehicle I end up in next.

I would avoid using silverstars due to the lack of longevity in that bulb, but it does look better. The 700 lumen increase is simply amazing.

Did this mod with Silverstar Ultras, and the output is definately better over stock. Clearer whiter light. Now I just gotta see if they last?
