cool. cuz i know he said he was going to add the cement before shipping them, but mine look clean. i think he forgot to do it. i just want to see what it looks like with the cement on. thanks.

The people that have the covers, does your contact cement look like mine? I'm looking at it, and it seems that even though it's there, it doesn't really seem to add tension to anything. Should I buy some and put it on the actual stem? I can take it out with my fingernail and I'm scared some a-hole will jack it.

Hey guys this is KEYTECHNIQUES, I do apologies for the confusion because on the first batch of covers I did not add contact cement by mistake. Subsequent batches have it.
If you read my instructions I make mention that the semi dried up contact cement adds tension to the cover so that it stays in place so that it does not pop out.
There is an additional step of adding more contact cement and waiting 10 minutes for insertion and then the cover is secure and will not come out easy but if you have an emergency it will come out.
The reason why did not recommend to simply add the contact cement is because some people are scared to do so and feel like this method will some how damage their locks which I can assure you it will not because you are not gluing your lock simply just the outside of the door lock hinge to the stem and that’s it. It is non destructive and can be cleaned up using a Qtip and some alcohol. And even the clean up is not really necessary as the contact point is so small.
I have had some people ask me if they can use super glue and I have said no not because it will damage anything but because I don't know about any of the consequences of using any of the harder glues because I did not test them.
I have recently tried rubber cement on my test handle and it works just like contact cement so I approve its usage.
If my instructions are followed installation should not be all that hard.
