Default Losing my mind?

Hello to you all! I'm knew to the site, and the Scion family, I've got something thats just bugging the crap out me, I recently bought an 06 silver tC with 25,000 miles on it. Beautiful car and a blast to drive! Anyways, I did however notice when I picked the car up at the dealer, about 4 months ago there were tiny little "rust" looking particles on the rear bumper/ front and some on the rear quarter panels and both door's. Didn't think anything of it at the time, knew a clay bar would take care of it, which it did. Now upon doing my daily walk-around of the car the rusty looking spots have came back! No way rust can build up on plastic, but dang the spots look identical to rust! So being the extremely **** person I am about my car, does anyone else have the same problems? I would assume silver and white are both possibly bad for this phenomenon. I hope and pray to God it's not rust, so if someone would have some insight on this annoying problem please share your thoughts and ease my worried mind!

Well thats what I was thinking, makes perfect sense but I don't live near any industrial sites. Any possibility there could be a clearcoat defect, or would it be more widespread and prevalent if that was the case?

Its just little particles of metal that get stuck to the paint. Even fresh from the dealer people often notice it on lighter color cars, it gets there (like dude above said) from the port, being around trains, pretty much anywhere industrial.

Just keep using the claybar to get rid of it, it doesn't hurt anything.

Lol, yeah I can see that happening 360 days a year in Detroit! Here in Ohio, I guess it's just as bad.

That's not too strange. I only have 39K on my very early 05'. Sometimes people have toys that spend alot of time sitting in the garage.

lol, no damage, clear title, I'm the second owner of the car, the previous owner had the thing loaded out, wheels, upgraded sound system, subwoofer, TRD exhaust, TYC lamps, just about anything Scion offered he put on the car. I even have the original bill of sales, it's got $4800 dollars of goodies on it! Honestly looks like it came off the assembly line. I look at every possible thing I can find when buying a car, I drove 4 hours just to look at it, then ended up driving it home! Love it! Oh it still had the plastic on the floor mats from the factory! I mean it has a few rock chips here and there, but I got extremely lucky! I baby the heck out of it, thats why I was concerned about the spots.
