Need help deciding which intake to buy!!
alright well money is not an issue, and i have an hks exhaust, i don't like that "ricey" hi pitch sound i like it deep and sounding good, my buddy told me about the secret weapon is it any good if not what intake should i get that will still sound good? thanks!
I have the weapon R and am very pleased, but i seem to be in the minority, but like you said if money is no issue, go with the Injen. Everyone that has it loves it and the dynos are great. I have read that the weapon r has actually more hp gain than the injen, but only by 1 HP. But the kicker of the whole thing is that the weapon R actually losses 22 lbs/ft of torque around 2400 rpm. So all in all if i had to start over, i would get the injen. Plus a lot of people have problems with the WR falling apart.(not me though)
Injen +7 HP, +4 lbs/ft
SW WR +8 HP, +1 lbs/ft, (but -22 lbs/ft around 2400rpm)

well thanks guys i appreciate the help, i gues i'm gonna go with the injen, now is this the one to where you can make it cold air and then take off half and make it the shorter one cuz i get alot of water where i live???
the injen is the ONLY intake that you can convert from SRI>CAI>SRI>CAI, haha..
but ya, i would suggest the injen if you are scared of water, but i personally have hte Fujita F5 CAI and i love it.. its also in the minority compared to injen and k&n.
p.s: tho this thread is made for which intake to get, i will HIGHLY suggest you stay away from K&N.. because it is teh ___. i had the intake on for about 2 months, and the bracket snapped the mount that it was attached to, which would eventually lead to the bottom bracket loosening, and therefore causing a large rattle.
so stick with Injen or Fujita.. or hell, go with AEM and their dry flow filter

+1 for Fujita. The gains are minimal and you won't be able to really tell the difference between the Fujita and Injen.
Hydrolocking usually only occurs when you're in a large puddle/flood. I've heard it takes the water level to be up to the headlights.. but who the hell is stupid enough to drive through even 6inches of water?

I was thinking about buying CAI but I'm concern about little splash, heavy rain, and snow. I thought few splash could damage my engine but two CAI that has bypass valve are AEM and TRD so..... which is which for the best CAI to use in these 3 weather condition?
I know it doesn't snow in Texas but I go to college in New York.

just letting you know that the TRD is the AEM. just rebadege as a TRD. and the and the reason the TRD is so much more expensive is because it is CARB legal. which is a big thing in CA. But i have the FUjita. I'm not worried about hydrolocking. im not stupid enough to drive through a flood.
