soo i was wondering if my friend swaps his 2008 projectors with a 07 headlight what would he have to worry about? both projector and headlights will come with HID's so is there anything to worry about? like new parts to buy to make that swap work?

 

why would he wanna go from 08's to '07s? well, no, both are not the same, if you search around, you'll find a couple post for swapping just the opposite of what your friend it trying to do. Different connectors, different size bulbs.

oh even though hes swapping hid bulbs and stuff theres other stuff to get it?

 

from what i gather the 08 head lights use the H11 bulb type for lowbeam (hibeam im not sure)

i assume you mean that you are going to use HIDs in the 07 heads so that means you need a H11 relay so that it plugs into the stock '08 wiring then use a 9006 HID bulb so that it fits the '07 head light.

 

yes, the 08's use an H11 size bulb, the other years use 9006. also need a wire harness i think

 

mmm ok so the 2007 tc has a hid kit from operatic and the 2008 tc has a hid kit from operatic. so basically both cars keep their own ballast and the wire harness that comes with it and we just swap the headlights and the bulbs right?

 

if the operatic kits are anything like the mobilehid kits then yes. the bulbs stay in their respected heads and swap right over!

mmm ok so the 9006 wire harness and the ballast stays in the 07 car. same with the 08 H11 wire harness and the ballast? wouldn't the have problems? or no?

 

this is basing off the fact that the connection between the bulb and the ballast is the same for both sides.

if that is true then all you have to worry about is if the headlights will bolt in.
