Default Need Parking Lights Help (05 w 08 headlights)

Hey everyone, its been a while since I did any new mods to my 05 tC, but the bug has hit me again and I need some help!

Recently my Anzo headlights finally kicked the bucket, so I upgraded my 2005 tC by installing some 2008 headlights. The new headlights came withput bulbs or wiring so I picked up some new H11's and turn signals but used the old bulbs and wires from my 2005 headlights. I had to get a 9005 to H11 adapter, but now everything is working great.

The problem is this; I wanted to swap the parking lights from the 2005 tC (they are wayy too small for the 08 housing, and you can't really see them kind of tucked in the back behind the reflector) for some LEDs that you could actually see. So I bought these -

And they don't light up at all. The really old bulbs from the 2005 headlights lit up just fine, but these won't. Does anyone know why? I probably bought the wrong bulbs or something.. Would anyone know why they don't light up? I'd also love a recommendation from someone who swapped their parking lights with more success than myself! Thanks!

Does polarity matter? Have you tried just spinning the bulb 180 in the socket?

If normal bulbs work, it's not wiring nor socket. So you're problem's with the bulb. Just make sure the wire is exposed enough to make contact inside the socket with it's clips.

Hmm, I don't think the polarity should matter, but I'll try wiggling them and rotating them just in case - thanks

Ploarity usually does matter with LED's, try rotating the bulb or reversing the direction.

Thanks for the reminder, I am about to install '08 headlights on my '05 and didn't think about needing an adapter for the low-beam

Keep in mind you only need the adapter for halogens. With HIDs all you have to do is get H11 bulbs.

Cool - I will try that,
Yea you do need an adapter for that if theyre non-HID, also you might want to get a wiring harness for the high beam as well, my wire was not quite long enough to reach the high beam because the positions of the lenses are swapped on the 08s

Good call Jon, I am going to be using HID's - I've been slowly modding them and I forgot about that.
