New Blue Bat Eyelid Overlay!!
actually fastandcurious, i just put them on the way they were. i didnt alter anything. and i measured them correctly before drying them. in my opinoin the eyelid should not be longer it should be wider. i try to move the vinyl down to the cut off point, but then the top had at least a once inch gap. and if you look here:

you can see the bottom line of the eyelid has a lil extra line. this is because i overlapped the first layer. look how ugly it looks in that picture, it looks even more ugly in person. my point is if you want to get eyelids that will cutoff correctly, you will need wider ones. i got the tch1b double layer that andrew sent me. im not sure if i was the one that was suppose to be testing it out or not. but im just posting my results. i plan on re-doing my left side because of all the bubbles,
and here is a picture of where the cut off need to be.

as you can seein the picture picture of where the original vinyl was, the redline is the extra piece needed to achieve the proper cutoff
and in this next picture, i see that it is about 3 inches from the bottom of the housing, i measured it vertically from the same point, its a total of 7.5 inches (estimating). so that would mean the eye lid would have to cover about 60% of the whole headlight housing...

last but not least, this is what it would look like, if we covered up 60% of our headlight housing with the "proper" eyelid

i kept the passanger side to the original eyelid to show the difference, also this is inside my garage and those strays of light above the drivers side is being reflected off the metal parts of my garage. i might be sending andrew some of my calculations and even a rough sketch/cutoff on how to improve the eyelid

Those do look like a normal eyelid kit. If you look at the original install of the trial kit, they do come down a lot lower than these pics. "tch1b" sounds like the part # for the normal kit...
Well since no one else volunteered for the 1.25" eyelids I did, and I will make sure that it is done right this freaking time.
I will post pics as soon as I put them on and have a camera but I will take my time and do it right. so hopefully some time of mid next week.
