yeah thats whati was thinkin but they were throwin it out there that the eyelids are 70 (fiberglass) and they would get them painted scm, so its like giving their lights plus 145.

 

 

Its me that hes talking about..i said earlier in this topic that I would trade headlights with anyone and blckdout messaged me and asked if I would trade.

I give my 06 headlights w/ mobilehid 4300K's and fiberglass eyelids, pay to repaint the eyelids SCM, for his 08 headlights with 6k's.

Im not trying to take advantage.. we are merely in the brainstorming stage of the trade, lol

I dont mind the look of the old headlights, I just want the new ones cause I dont have them, lol

was thinking the ones with the gold centers,I have tried on gold rims on the car before and they were sweet,so that was the color I was thinking of going and then at somepoint painting them SCM.

Figured they would show off the upcoming BBK really well.

 

idk if i read you right but they do make some fiberglass eyelids for the 08-09 headlights if you're thinkin they dont? i just dont remember the site..but some guy i ran into on SL who's got an SCM has some..i forget if he colormatched them or not

 

I have a set that I'm not going to use...from niabodykits.com...already painted from them scm...i'll give you their price for the non painted ones if you want to....$35 shipped...i'll post a pic but you'll have to wait til sunday...i'm off camping til then...just let me know

You heard right.
Most of the aftermarket eyelids out there have some form of an issue.
Most are fitment..

Others can't match our paint color ( bluebatmobile )..

That's why you make your own like one of my buddies here in Wisconsin.

 

Just make your own.

It'll save you money, big time.

Just do your research.

 

My eyelids fit well, not sure about the NIA ones. Arent they the funny looking ones, or do they have a normal style now? The only ones I remember are the bat-wing style and they are pitiful.

Doing your own fiberglass eyelids is not even close to being worth the time to money saving ratio. Supplies = $25, $1000 worth of a headache & trail/error fitting.

 

Sorry, but I had a buddy in Milwaukee and he hasn't nearly spent $200 on teaching himself how to.

Now that he knows..hell, he could start selling them.

His fitment is 100%, as well as his color quality.

 

Awesome for him, he should if the fitment is there. Im just saying, for me personally, i'd rather buy them then make my own. Plus have you ever gotten fiberglass on your eyelid?
