Default Okay I want to do HID the right way

So I had a chance to peruse the SEARCH function and read up a bit on HIDPLANET....

This is going to be the post before I go out and get some HIDs....

at first I was considering the MCCOLLUCH @ Xenonpros.com

But then after some reading it looks like this BOSCH kit is better

http://www.hidplanet.com/package.html

Any experience w/ either that people would like to share? I heard that the MCCOLLUCHs were really easy to install... I'm kind of intimidated by the whole "RETRO-FIT" lingo...

Please give me some insight to kick off this learning curve for me =)

to my knowledge, HIDplanet only sells kits for retrofitting. they dont believe in plug in play kits, thus do not sell them.

a proper kit comes with a separate relay wiring harness that draws power from the battery not the factory bulb socket connectors. also philips bulbs (which are rebased) and hella/philips gen3 LVQ-212 ballasts are the best combo. you'll have to spend $400+ for a quality kit with quality parts. you get what you pay for.....
xenondepot.com's HID kit (not their Xtreme kit) is good.

you should be intimidated with the lingo of retro fit because it involves using your oven.

Default I Did H.I.D. Right !!

I Have a 06 xA that use's a 9003/H4 Bulb that is Both HIGH AND LOW BEAM. The kit that I ordered Uses a Special Bulb so that you still have use of Both High and Low Beams and Both are H.I.D.!!! The High/Low kit is expensive, but
Worth Every Penny, Kits are Made in Japan, Not China, Korea, Or any Other Junk Out There. Xetronic is the Brand. DO IT RIGHT!!! The TC Use's 9006 For Low Beam And 9005 For High Beam. Check out this site for more info.
