just an FYI... the easiest way to do that would be to paint the whole cover black, tape the tops of the letters off, and then paint the whole cover silver. tear the tape off and voila, silver cover w/ black letters!

i went to the autozone today.. sadly.. i didnt find the kryol.. so i bought a dupli color primer for plastic... blue dupli color heat resistant or whatever. and dupli color lacquer ( or what) not bad.. but its not perfect. i got some dirt on it

As for the clear coat taking high temps; I haven't had a single issue and my Engine Cover has been painted/cleared for over 4 months now. It looks the same now as it did on day 1 of this mod.

first u nead a primer... the paint and the finish shiny coat
i sanded the plastic.. then primer.. 4-5 layer of light coat then 1-2 light coat of finish plus 1 med wet coat....
and its really looks good now.. but i should paint it in the garage or bathroom or whatever.
