I have the mobile HID kit and lately my passenger side headlight will randomly flick off, so I turn my headlights off then immidiately back on and they both come back on, this problem is really frustrating and has been going on for a while, ive checked all of my connections and can't figure it out, everything is fine but the passenger side headlight still does it, (almost everytime I turn on my headlights.) does anybody know how to solve this?

 

Sounds like your ballast. Try swapping your ballasts out, just leave the bulbs where they are, and see if the problem swaps sides as well.

 

The kit is only a year and a half old and if I remember right SL members got a 3 year warrenty so I might as well try and get ahold of cliff and see I'd I can just get a new ballast if you think it's in the ballast

 

I'm not 100%. You should switch the left to right and right to left, and go from there. It would suck to waste all that time if it's not your ballast. It could also be a relay, or a break in your wires, or an endless number of other things. But it does sound like it's your ballast. Does it flicker before it goes out, or warm up any differently than the other one?

 

Na everything is normal I will just be driving along and it just shuts off, on that side, no flicker or anything, so then I just flip the switch off on and it comes back on no problem,which makes me suspect a ballast issue as well
