Default problem with hid kit

i bought kaixen hid kit 6500k for my car a month back. at first it was crystal purple. me and my friend tried to change the parking light a month later so it would match. a week later, the bulb changes from purple to white. it is no longer purple like it used to be. it would look purple during broad daylight but at night time, it would look white. it now looks like 6000k. i'm ____ed. any idea?

i think u got the wrong temp? if you wanted purple shouldnt u be getting something higher then 8000k? maybe 12000k? I think hid's real color comes out after a few weeks of use, so that might be the real color of ur bulb..

The 8500K kit is blue/white. That's what I got on my car. The 6500K kit is the purple/white combo one.

8500k, blue/white?
what brand are they?
i've seen a couple of 8000k with a tiny tint of purple in it.
to threadstarter;
all hids change color over a few hours of use, its quite normal.
i wonder, how is the quality of the kaxien kit, i was thinking about purchasing that brand instead of the ones i have now.

Yea, I saw your car with kaixen 8500k in one of the post and you posted a pic of a guy with white scion with 6500k kit, both looks great. tats y i got it. how long have you had the kit? is the color still stable?
i checked the philips kit, it gets blue at 10000k and purple at 12000k. was thinking of switching to philips now.

The kit I got is also from KAIXEN. I get nothing but compliments on them. I will continue to use them when the Umnitza projectors are released.

There isn't going to be that much difference between 6K and 6500K to notice both are going to be very white 10K and up are good for blue/purple colors but not as bright I run 8's right now which is a toned down 6 (not quite as bright and a slight blue tint - not too much) all bulbs will "burn" in slightly so the color might change a bit, also if you run them through projectors the lenses will throw the color off sometimes more than others depending on the tint on the lens. Kaixen's are good kits so have no fear there!
