Projector headlights
Okay guys, please don't beat on me too much for asking a stupid question as I am not familiar with HID's. Is it possible to run HID's in those JDM or APC projector headlights? Would it work if you fabricated a cut-off to prevent glare?
Thanks.
Thanks.
its not a good idea ....
the apc headlights are junk.. have crappy beam patterns and were not designed for hid .. therefore there will be tons of glare
as for the JDM headlights... the beam pattern is reverserd due to the RHD .. so the flare is on the left instead of the right ... hid into those headlights will still give off glare and having that right hand flare with hid in it iwll be bothersome to drivers on the road
do it the right way .. do a hid retrofit like i did

go get in a car that has good hid lighting .,... ala s2k .. tsx .. 04 + acura TL ...
drive it around at night .... then get back in your car
then you tell me if its worth it
its like comparing a flood light to a candle ...
and yes they are worth EVERY penny
I would be more then happy to meet up with anyone in the mass area ... let them take a ride in the box at night to check out the hids .. then they can decide if its worth it
i took a friend for a ride in a car i had witha s2000 retrofit ... and when he got out and got back in his car.. he had to double check his headlights 2 times to make sure they were even on

real hid is 4100-4300K ..... at that color temp you are able to have the most visible light
anything higher .. is purely for looks and actually lessens visbility ... for example .. an 8000k kit is barely brighter then standard halogen ..
