Default Quick Headlight question

I have a 2005 tC and I have aftermarket headlights installed.. I really like the look of the 2008 stock headlights, would they fit the 2005 model? I assume they would, but I could be wrong and I dont want to buy them and find that out trying to install them..

yes no?

Yeah, they will fit once you take off the tab. Why are you getting them if you already have aftermarket headlights? Are you going for HIDs?

The after market headlights that I have, the halo rings are going out, a few LEDS are flickering... They are like 4 years old and when im driving, the passanger side is brighter that the driver side and its because the headlight is pointing down for some reason, I tried EVERYTHING.

Here is a video I made about the HID lights I installed

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Emq72yXvbWI

Towards the end of the video, you can see what I am talking about when I lower the camera , the driver side just doesnt get bright.. Check it out

You can try your local dealer or trdsparks.com. That's the only places I've been able to find them new.

To mount at 2008+ headlights on a pre-2008 car, you have to cut a tab on the headlights off.

I wish someone made quality projector headlights like the '08s with halos. I would love a pair. I would do it myself, but I'm too cheap to retrofit and too nervous to bake brand new ones.

So if I order them and have them cut a tab on the headlight, they will just fit in like the stock 2005 light?

Yes.

The 2008+ headlights should run for about ~$400/pair.

you do not have to cut any tabs... i swapped my 07, which are the same as 05, to the 2008 OEM projectors and it just fits right in without any modifications

there is no tab to remove in the oem 08 and new projectors to make them fit.
