i just got into a wreck and was wonderin how much the dealership charges for a new bumper? i heard it was up to 500? if so i would buy the buddy club kit

 

It's way pricey... you're almost better off going to an aftermarket kit...

 

Just the rear bumper cover? Should be around $200 unpainted.

 

well i was hopin i could get a rear bumper straight from the dealership, painted & labor added.. insurance will be covering for it.

do any body know how much paint cost? the insurance comp. might write a check out to me and if so i'll probably try to get a aftermarket kit and paint it to match the car, but if its more then a replacement bumper straight from the dealership (painted & labor) then i'll just stick to the new bumper then a aftermarket kit

 

Go to the dealer and get an estimate. You shouldn't be charged for the estimate....then make your decision.

A painted bumper cost between 300-350, thats the estimate I got from the dealer and mom & pop auto body shops. If the dealer can sell you one prepainted, buy that and install it yourself and you got some change left for other things you might have in mind. Only a few screws/clips. Look for that TYC tailight install guide that will show you how to remove the bumper minus 2 clips on the bottom which it doesnt show.
