rear bumper applique?
There is at least one other thread about this out there because I was searching for the same thing the other day.
The part that I found useful was that an xB owner that had one said that the Scion part has a bunch of holes in it (like the photo shows) so it's hard to clean/wax the car inside the holes and the bumper protector looks terrible with wax all over it.
Try a search for "rear bumper protector xB" or something similar...

The applique's used for the b& the c are totally different. The one on the xB has holes in it and is made from a skateboard grip tape like material. The one for the tC is more like a clear vinyal (sp?) material and wont collect wax or debris.
Yeah, the rear bumper protector for the tC is a piece of clear vinyl with a cool ghosted SCION logo. Installation is straightforward, and, aside from minor amounts of dirt getting into the edges it, you can wax it just like the rest of the car, and it is maintenance-free.
Mine has proven itself several times, AND you hardly know it's there.

for when you're sliding a refrigerator into the back end of your massive TC and the steel wants to take a bite out of the paint on the top of your bumper. Here's the pics I took the first day I had the car, still had temporary tags and everything, it's completely clear except the SCION logo ghosted into the applique, a nice touch and protection for your paint. Applies easily, like any vinyl decal, just try to get all the bubbles out.

I have seen them on the xB and tC and was not too impressed. But it is a rather cheap ($$) accessory. I would recommend the door sills. The light silver really offsets against the dark interior. And this is also a rather cheap ($$) item.

Technically, you don't NEED it, but given that it's hardly noticeable, why not? The ones that are on the xB, I could take or leave, but those aren't the ones that are for the tC.
As the product description states, it is a protector for the top of the rear bumper. If you load something oblong (like luggage or golf bag) that could scrape the top of the bumper, THEN it comes in handy.

it looks good i think-i have it on a SW tc. pretty easy to put on urself-just get it thru trdsparks or ebay-i payed like$30 something for it shipped. it's def more than that from the dealership.
