Default Removing OEM Pedestal Spoiler?

I'm trying to figure out how to remove it because I'm planning
on selling it soon for a different spoiler.

I'm not too sure on what's holding it down so if anyone could help me
out on this subject, it would be greattttttly appreciated.

Thanks!

you'll find holes in your hatch! open the hatch and remove that back piece, you should be able to get the bolts from there.

undrill? more unscrew.... nuts.. not bolt...

but 4 nuts... and double-sided tape holds the spoiler down..

and yes... you'll have 4 holes.

^----agreed!
you will have to unscrew 4 hex bolts. Use a 10mm ratchet with an extension. After removing the 4 nuts you will have to pry the spoiler off of the hatch. This is being held on by some 3m type double sided tape.
As for the holes that are left you will have 4 - 3/8" inch holes to worry about covering up or using for a new spoiler.

Good Luck

Hmm.

What are possible ways to fill these holes in?

I'm buying the Viniati V-Spoiler and I'm not sure if this spoiler
directly installs into these 4 holes.

[Shot you this in a PM also.]

I want to do the same thing. i hate teh pedestal. I'm not sure what exactly to look for on their website to order for filling the wholes. Once they filled I'll take FM touch-up paint and coat them.

Then... new spoiler! Thanks.

I don't know where EXACTLY to look once I get to here.

I'm guessing fillers, but theres 5 categories, then sub-catagories.

yeah. i was multi tasking and got it mixed up. i was thinking about them drilling the holes. they are suppose to drill holes into the structure support... but sometimes, some places... are lazy and drill at a angle to save time.

you k now when your in cold weather and the car is covered in condensation... you see the lines on the hatch and hood... the beams that support it... you are supposed to drill through the whole supporting part of the hood. sometimes techs and differenent dealerships dont do that... and they drill around the whole support.

uhm... the pedestal spoiler...

the hatch itself has supports.. but they do not however have anything to do with supporting the spoiler.

you need to drill into them so you can get to the bolt so that you can install the nut. who cares where the hole is?? as long as they can install the nuts..

have you seen the installation instructions? or have seen one installed in person?

i'm not trying to argue with you trung. some people drill holes around the supports on the hatch.... because it's easier to drill at an angle and avoid the supports... then to drill through them... it was off topic.
