Default replaced L Tail light with an OE, no reflection

i bought an "OE" tail light ('09) from autolighthouseplus on ebay about a couple of months ago, i was shining the rear with a flashlight and it seems the reflectors dont seem to work as well as the orignal or even at all. im concerned that it will not be as visible when parked at night. anyone experienced this from a lighthouseauto light. i thought i was a buying a genuine oe part. it may not a be a big issue but im just a little concerned

Is this what you got?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCION...#ht_3270wt_976

It even lists on there "aftermarket part". The part number for it isn't even a Toyota part number. If it's not a genuine OEM part chances are likely it's not going to be of the same quality, often it's less. There are sometimes decent OEM "style" parts but it's hit or miss. Seems this is a miss, sorry bud.

I have Eagle Eyes red/clear(Anzo reps), getting the taillights aligned took a moment, the top right corner stuck out a bit on the passenger light but got it a bit closer best I could, the foam strip I had to realign that as it was put on wrong(just look at your factory lights to put them correctly), other than that all has been good so far. I had some 05-07 tails from a previous part trade locally and used that harness to connect the light, I've heard one say the 08-10 harness works just fine as that's what they're currently running. My concern was the reverse light not being set right in the housing, the plug is shorter for the 08-10, 05-07 is longer. Either way the taillights still work.

I actually just now installed my 08-10 replicas from eagle eyes on my 05..the 05 harness worked great just not the reverse light..it didnt set in right and it dangled, so i went and bought some crazy glue and glued the plastic part of the reverse light in the housing. Also the clips that are on the bottom of the tail lights didnt cooperate when i was trying to get them in..it was either cut them off or have my rear bumper dangle out of place. So i cut them and they fit as well as the stock ones. It was a struggle to get them in with clips but after i took them off, they set in pretty good!
