did you only use fiberglass or did you also use bondo?

also do you need that metal mesh in there there to hold it in place or can it just stick to the plastic?

 

I used both actually. After I threw away whats left w/ my fiberglass I used the bondo to fill up the little gaps and holes.

As for the metal mesh, I thought it'd be good for the fiberglass to dry in place with a rod and mesh in the middle of it to hold it from moving and possibly falling out, just a safety measure.

 

Go with the Fierce lip and save the time and money:

 

Fierce lip is made of fiberglass. where they tend to crack. and the fitment is not as good.
