Scion tC Projector Headlights: UP CLOSE Photos...
I've noticed a lot of people on this forum have champagne tastes on a beer budget
This is an "economy" car we are talking about, I think its rather stupid to be spending over a thousand dollars to retrofit a car just to get a "perfect" cutoff that you will likely never notice during normal driving. If I had that kind of money to waste on trivial things like that, I would have just gotten a bmw/benz in the first place
To each there own though, I like these a lot better then the first ebay set.

I know this has been said many times, but I too would like to see these at night, at a little distance, (10-15ft) with just the halos on and then the headlights.
Maybe throw some HID's in there just to show what it could look like...
I would end up putting HID's in these, I havn't been impressed with any aftermarket projectors I have seen thus far with halogen bulbs.
HID's rock, and love mine, and I only paid $245. I have them in my stock xB housings and they 'cut off' great.
BTW, my girly has a tC before you ask why i'm posting about this.

JLevi, could you give us some links to your good projectors? I tried looking on the site for an example but I didn't find a lot of headlights in the BMW section. I would be interested (and probably others as well) in investigating what it would take to get a real high quality aftermarket headlight with DS2 HIDs and angel eyes. The retro fits look ok but I think a lot of the projectors stick out too much or the don't look aimed correctly and I really don't like the itsy bitsy angel eyes. I want something nice and beefy out front of the bulbs like in the beamers. I understand that there will be R&D necessary and I personally am willing to front a couple hundred for it and I think we could probably get a few others interested as well. I think the more money fronted the better the final product will be, I don't think Umnitza asked for enough and had they done that they would have hooked all the serious buyers immediately and produced a better product.

Wow! Been away for a while and just founf this post. To freeflowing - didn't see your post, but I bet i know what it said, and I bet I'd agree 1 hundred percent, but then again we did ours the right way.
Eitherway, I'm actually happy to see this product. I don't really go for the halogen projector with HIDs, and I understand people are on budgets, I've explained on other posts how to do a real retro for around 300$ and won't bother to do that again. What's great about these projectors is that they were made by a company that understands the simple concept of a horizontal cuttoff. Leave the sharp colorful cutoffs to us retrophiles.
The average joe just needs a projector that won't blind on coming traffic or lessen visability. This set seems to deliver on both accounts. So props to Jlevi on having descent lights for a reasonable price. And a big I told you so to all the suckers that bought the cheap ebay lightds with the 60% slanted cuttoffs and paid like 400$ only to spend hours just getting them to fit.
If you don't want a retro, then be patient, good stuff will eventually come out. The more patient you are the better your options.

These projectors are built with the consumer in mind, not a specific user, hence the low price and quality.
http://izntrbl.vstore.ca/ Responsible for many custom retrofits. Projector lens options. Charges 300 for labor alone, plus projector and optional HID kit. There's a charge for a clear lens, but the tC is already equiped with one. Possible option for those looking for "Quality" projector headlights.

I would love to see a picture of these with HID lights in them. Would they take H4 or 9000 series bulbs?
Also the picture of the halos looks a bit dim to me. Is that the picture or are they sort of a bit dimmer then some of the other angel eye type kits I have seen?
Good looking cut off. For the price this seems a decent unit.
