Default Seibon CF hood fitment??

i put the right side of my car into a tree about a year ago... and instead of going with a OE hood.. i ordered a Seibon OEM carbon fiber hood... but the fitment really isnt like the stock one... the one side has a wider gap from fender to hood.. and my one screw is kinda orangish rusted... (is that bad?)

so does anyone else have this prob?

Get some WD 40 and clean your screws up,makes it a lot easier to work with them when they do not have corrosion on them.

loosen the hood bolts a little on each side and move the hood over in small amounts like 1/16" at a time it does not take much to even it all out........

this is normal on all hoods gettign fittment perfect, just get a friend to help, even two,and take your time.

you might not be really able to see it move when you adjust it on the hinges, hoods were one thing I hated to do in the shop, expecially on cars that had fenders to replace too, gettign all three straight and then the bumper straight too took hours......drove me nuts.

my seibon cf hood fits 100% perfectly. yours probably doesnt fit the best cuz...iono...you said you put your car into a tree? and there are no hinges to adjust the hood...the only hinges are the stock ones that are on your car where the hood connects to the body of the car...if your hinges are warped, buy new ones.

I've got a V.I.S. and fit and finish is impeccable. No complaints but putting a car into a tree throws everything off. Even a stock metal hood.
