smoked headlights
Yes, It will decrease your light output based on how dark you go. Our 20% smoked Light Protection reduces light output by 20%. I have HIDS as well and wouldnt use smoked unless it was for show only

rwf, when it comes to smoking your headlights - either with one of the dozen or more film kits available, or painting them, if they end up looking dark they are going to block light - most of the time a lot of it. Simply no way around it. If you had 30% window tint on your ENTIRE windshield that would be what driving around with our standard smoke kit would be like.
The misinformation surrounding smoked film is amazing. We have tested both pre-cut ready to install kits and a variety of raw materials and each one tested much different than advertised when light transmission was measured on our light transmission meter.
Realistically, all smoked film we have tested - including our own - is meant for off road use. Great for a daytime use track car or a show car, but I wouldn't wan to go bombing down my favorite road at night with smoked headlights. But maybe everybody just has better vision that I do. They are wildly popular though
