lay down some black primer, then just flick a bunch of different color paints all over it, then clear it.

Its classic. Our fathers (and/or grandfathers depending on your age) were doing it on their indians, harleys, t-buckets and duce coupes long before hotrodding was mainstream.

Straight primer will absorb EVERYTHING. Any oil from hands, trees, bird crap, etc will leave marks. If you use a matte clear coat you'll get the look and also have a smooth protected finish.

hahaha yeahhh man.. i dunno.. i might wanna give it a try on my own first... then if all else fails ill have to bite the bullet and save cash.. but i really feel like this could eb a fun project..
