lol, why? you just take off all the finishing on the outter parts of the panels and let it rust.

everything else is fine, sucks thought cuz youd have to replace stuff eventually when it rusted all the way through

EXACTLY! DON'T DO IT! The majority loved my tC in picture when it was pink...just ask the people who have seen it in person.

C'mon, you wanna rattle can the car & only like the way it looks in picture rather than in real life?

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

It'll be a sh$t ton of work to make it look good. Just the amount of work it would take is enough for me to not wanna do it. If ur gonna do it, at least do it right. With a paint gun and dont rattle can it.

ahh.. see this is the kinda stuff i was looking for.. ok

mm.. just curious, but u think with enough prep and stuff that it can be better?

i know this is a horrible example, but i sprayed my interior pieces and with enough sanding and such, it looked really good.. does this mentality apply to the exterior?
Sorry for the late response, with a great deal of prep. the spray pattern from a can is only limited compared to a gun. Their for all my Honda friends have tried to be patient with the can, and had good prep, but their was an unevenness in the paint, and it showed like a sore thumb. That is why the guns have more control, It is hard in general to do a whole car in flat, but with cans is insane. Smaller parts like interior pieces you can take your time with, and lay even coats with a can. Think of it this way, when the can starts to empty, it starts to sputter, that sputter can tank the whole paint job.

^thats why you wetsand.

ive got faith that this can be done well with a spray can.
like i said, it just takes patience...and lots of free time.

its all in the pre and post paint.

i think theres a webstie where you can get oem colors in a rattle can....just get a couple of those and paint the unpainted parts, alot cheaper than painting the whole car and it will look a 1000 x's better imo

^true, but since the car is an 06 the paint will have faded some by now so it would need to blended to look 100%

i don't think it will come out looking 100% from a rattle can either, but it will certainly look better than the primer lol

Hope I'm not too late!! Here are some pics of my civic that i spray canned with $1 paints from walmart. Took me 8 cans to do all the pieces: fenders, doors, bumpers, rear quarters. Hood is primered black for later purposes. Haven't sanded it with fine grit yet, but you get an idea of how good it can come out if you just prep nicely.

i say either save for a good paint job, or check out the honda-tech thread on the $50 roller paint job. Some of them turn out really well and i recommend that over spray painting.
