SPOILER OBSESSION
I don’t really want to upset anyone here. I don’t think im going to get the rear wing when i order mine. I thought it made the car look similar to that little two door honda civic with the wing. I’m getting the car for me though. That’s the point. We all get our cars to make ourselves happy. You get what you like and i get what i like. That is all that matters. I personally wouldn’t want that black cherry color or white but that’s just me. I’m probably going to get the nautical blue. I think most people don’t like that color on here. I just like blue. Im not into too many of the carbon fiber modifications that are just for looks either. I like them on other cars, just not mine. We all have different tastes. There really isn’t any reason to rip on someone for liking something you don’t. The scions are all about the marketing for personalization. That’s one thing that makes them very different. You can make the car you want. And if you want to see some nutty cars, the woodward avenue dream cruise is on. And everyone and their country bumpkin cousin comes out with their jacked up, bouncing, huge winged, gaudy paintjob, 4 dollar car with 10k put into it. If they like their car, then that’s all that matters. There are thousands of really nice cars from small tuners, million dollar hotrod, car company first sighting cars, and old school rat rod style hot rods. Personally I love the rat rods. Anyway, I'm really going to like my scion though even if the large amount of buy American residents around here hate it.

i dont care what people think, im getting a spoiler for my xB for sure someday...my cousin is going to get a spoiler for her tC too...
i know the spoiler is useless for a FWD car, but my cousin and i agreed that it looks WAY better than stock...

I am Planning on a Carbon fiber Spiler, and yes it won't do anything for speed, or handling, but i didn't buy an xB cuz it goes fast i would have bought a wrx or somethin else. I bought it because it has great lines, fun to drive, the inline 4 saves me gas avg 31 on Guam (my island) sure there are some mods to add power, but you are looking at a few horsies, still not enough to get any effect out of a spoiler. Most of the spoilers are also designed to fit directly behind the hatch. with little down force generated. So no it is not about the handling effects for the spoiler it is 100% looks.
i'd of opted to get a spoiler... if the tC was RWD...

i was just thinking i have seen spoilers on some of the "Luxury" manufacturers. And most of the models that have either spoilers or wings, are their slower less powerful models that look really good...

you dont like me ????? hahaha
The tC pedistal spoiler is a very nice design IMHO. I look around at the other spoilers and wings that people have and only some of the time do they actually "fit" the car. Someone at Scion was thinking right when they chose this spoiler for the car. The body kit is also perfectly matched with the lines and with this spoiler. It doesn't always have to be about performance.
I got mine just to set it apart from the rest. There's 8 scions in my town and none have a spoiler. I think it looks good with the pedestal, so i'm not complaining. Like they've all said, leave the performance spoilers to the big boys.
In my personal opinion, I LOVE the tC with a spoiler. It looks good with one because the vehicle just looks WAY too plain without one. I just recently got the Kaminari spoiler installed onto my car because I like my car to stand out. I changed out my entire exhaust system and got a CF double vented hood and did a whole lot of other things to make it look good and stand out. I see WAY too many tCs nowadays out there and so the more I make mine stick out, the more original it is.
The pedestal, lip, and any spoiler that ISN't Kaminari, TO ME, is just crap... That's another reason why I'll never get anything but an STI or EVO VII if I'm ever considering those lines of vehicles.
