Stock oem headlamp condensation!
I was wondering about some condensation build up i have in my drivers side light. I went to my local toyota/scion dealer and asked them if that was something covered under warranty, but they told me that all scions do that and that it was just part of the headlight venting? I double questioned him about it saying that my other headlight has never done that and his response was that it does that when it rains out and that it dries up when its warm out?.... I dont know if this guy is just trying to jerk my chain or what but some info on it would be nice.
The only time I've heard of condensation is when the weather shifts from being really cold to really warm/hot. If your weather hasn't changed drastically in the past couple of days, take it back and get a new headlight.
its not normal.
check all your bulb connectors to make sure they are snug though because i had that problem when i first got my tc.
I had the city light connector loose and it cause my fogging issue. after that the fogging problem never showed up again.

Yeah the service tech was trying to tell me that the headlights have vents in them for all the heat from the halogens to vent??? Maybe im a newb, but i have been working with cars for some time and have never heard or even heard anyone else talk about that. Overall though the guy seemed very helpless and pretty much like a ***** (pardon my french)
Funny you say that I just noticed the exact same thing on my passenger side. Damn "water lines".
what yr is your tC? Are you past the 3yr/36k mile warranty? If so then your only option to solve this is open up the headlights, clean and seal them back up. I put a small bead of DAP kwik seal plus on mine around the edge when I had water get inside from heavy rains on my retroed headlights. Have yet to get any condensation or water since then.
