I went out to my car this morning and noticed moisture inside my stock driverside tail light. I have 37,000 miles on my tc, will they cover this under waranty. I have never touched these tails nor opened them up.

 

Just buy a new one, arent that expensive.

 

^Hello, Rich man. I notice moisture in my tail lights like 2 months ago. i saw a little air pocket and decided to apply some pressure. Mr. bubble went bye bye and haven't seen moisture in there.

But he is right, just use clear silicone all around the tail light.

 

dont mess with it, let your warranty take care of it. Im guessing you have extended warranty correct?

then i'd have the dealer take a look if it becomes problematic.

 

take it to them and im sure they'll have it fixed.

 

wow i just noticed i have moisture in my 08 tc with less then 3000 miles on it. ill have the dealer look at it when i take it to them for my FREE oil change.

 

^I wonder is this is a problem with the 08 tcs. I had moisture in it when I had less than 1000 miles.

took the car into dealer warantied it for me. Ordered a whole new lens.

 

I have the 08 tail lights, and have had them for about 4,000 miles, plus 200 miles from the previous owner. No moisture at all.

 

i hate that moisture!

 

I noticed one of my TYC's has moisture in it. I'm gonna have to call the dealer.

 

I haven't noticed anything yet. *knocks on wood*

 

i feel the same.....i hope i dont have any in my stock 08 tails....its freezing out by me its like 15 degrees right now....wtf

 

I had moisture in my TYCs that I installed myself.

My issue was an easy fix. I didn't get the nuts tightened all the way down when I installed and it let water in around the foam gasket between the light and the car. A few more turns, the water went away, and hasn't returned.

Check to see if it looks like the light is pulled away from the car, if it is, then that's probably the problem.

F*** me too.my 08 tc tail light has moisture too....and after the dealer change the 18" for the 17" my cruise control doesn't work...taking it to the dealer
