Default Strobes lights and LEDs

I plan on buying strobe lights and LED lights that basically present a police car look during the night. Given that statement, what are the consequences of impersonating a police vehicle? Jail times, monetery fines, community service?

lol.. yeah i plan on using them for carshow purposes but obviously its kind of a temptation to use it when you have someone tailgating you even though your exceeding the speed limit.

Yeah my friend has a Nissan Maxima blacked out with tints, he has strobes and led bars all over it given by his dad who's a cop. He barely uses it, only when people tailgate him or if someone really slow is driving in front of him.. lol..

you would be stupid to use it on public roads outside the show scene..

consequences vary from state to state.... but it can be defined in some area as a felony, you can receive up to 6 years, over $1,000 fine easily.. and a criminal record..

you'll be lucky to get community service.

What exactly do you have to have to get a ticket for "impersonating a police officer"? I heard that you can get it for like blue or red underglow? Is that really enough to get that kind of fine? Or do you need something more like strobes and alternating lights?

Lights underneath normally just give you a warning (atleast thats what I got with my blue underglows) I'm sure if you had neons with strobes on they would for sure get you for impersonation of an officer.

flashing red and blue lights pointing forward should do it..

but it varies from state to state as far as small details.

I never use my strobes on public streets. No matter what, I've been tempted but thats a really serious offense because you could easily be pulling someone over to rob/rape or kill them and the cop may assume thats what you wanted to do. Its just not worth it.

Now pulling up in your friends driveway with them on after he did a beer run is a different thing.

i like led flashers. alot eaiser to expand. you can make your tails, fogs, blinkers, underbodies, ect flash w/ them.. you dont need actualy strobe tubes.. i got mine from http://www.able2products.com/Update/11_1005.htm the 11.1005SF LED Flasher - Strobe Style.

here is my one off strobe style tC, this is the standard strobe kit, i now have the strobe style one.. it is 100% even/on time, its just my camera is only like 25 frames a second and the strobes go faster that so it looks choppy, but its not.. camera just sucks..

and this the strobes and the underbodies

it grows more and more every month.. these vids are outdated... lol
