Default Sunroof Issue!

Hey guys, long time no see.

So straight to it. My tC sunroof, when closed, is about a quarter inch higher on the drivers side than the other. There is nothing stuck under it or anything, and the passenger side sits flat. Not sure if there is an adjustment screw or something, but any help will be much appreciated. The whistle and wind noise is destroying my brain...

I almost wonder if someone has tried to grab it with their fingers to break in or something???????

it wasn't a recall with something mechanically wrong with the sunroof, it was just to add a vinyl backing to the wind deflector so it wouldn't fall apart if it broke.

sounds to me like someone was trying to force that side of the sunroof up or when it was closing that side got jammed?

have you held the button so the sunroof opened all the way and then hold the button closed for a bit when it is closed. when it auto-stops hold the button again so it keeps going along the track end to end?

you could disconnect the battery or find the fuse so the auto memory for all the power windows/roof is cleared and then run through it so the memory resets, the process is in the manual, basically hold the buttons open and closed a few times till it starts to do everything automatically again after pulling the fuse/battery.

maybe doing one of these things will re-align the sunroof on the track.

this happen to a guy local to me...ended up being that the teeth on the band that moves in the roof had been "chewed" up. i sold him a spare roof i had and he fixed it. but u might want to check the teeth on that side see if they r not all messed up.

would that require pulling the interior out from the roof?
