you could always try and get an antenna from I think a hummer. They are internaly mounted if I am correct. Just place it behind the back wall panel!

surface mount amplified antennas dont work well. they're very directional and no where near as good as a standard one mounted to the metal of the body. Ever had a Terk amped antenna on your TV? Then you know.

And as for the shark fin mounted on the glass, ditto. On a typical car much of the reception is due to the antenna's contact of the body's metal. Essentially the whole body of the car acts as an extension of the antenna. The ground is paramount.

Shave it if you dont listen to radio (like myself), otherwise live with the stubby antenna.

i'm pretty certain if you shave your antenna, you can buy a type of "in glass" antenna. look at the xB and 4Runner, they don't have antenna's at all. it's because the antenna is the orange sticker in the rear quarter windows...

I got WhiteOut's back it looks damn good, I thought I took a pic at the Oxnard Honda show last week, but turns out i didn't. but it looks damn good, one of those things that makes you think 'I know something is missing, but what is it' don't let the haters get you down man
