Tinted Tails Light Question
I seen some really tinted/smoked overlay on the taillights on SL. I was wondering have anyone been pulled over/gotten a ticket exclusively for having a really really smoked out taillight? I'm planning to get a pair but they're not VERY VERY tinted but I still want to be on the safe side. I think they're 17% tinted.
It really depends on where you live and how you drive whether you will have a problem or not. 17% is very dark though. From dark to light we have three shades, Dark Stealth Smoke 20%, Standard Smoke 30%, and Light Smoke 50%.
If you want to see the effect on the reflector just use a digi cam and force the flash during the day and you will see the reflector at work.

I have no idea how it is being measured. We measure each batch with a meter. If the 83% is something other than a guess it would be really light - to the point where it would be hard to tell it was tinted. As a comparison the factory glass on most cars these days is 92-95%. 83% would look hardly tinted at all.
on a side note we have bought a wide variety of competitors kits and tested the material with our meter and got a wide variety of results. Some close to advertised and some far off, and others that seemed like pure guesses...
