Are there any true paintable ABS plastic eyelids out there on the market? I'm really intrested in some eyelids but not really into the vinyl overlays.

please keep this thread updated. I've been dying for a nice set of paintable eyelids.

 

I have been pretty happy with my vinyls from bat, though I wish the FM was a closer match. I would only say be careful with that site as they dont even show a picture of the tC's headlights..

 

be careful...i bought a set off the internet a while ago with the same description...they were just a glorified vinyl sticker...unpaintable unless installed on the car first. They were very flexible. ABS plastic and polyurethane are not the same animal.

 

Same here. "Paintbable Eyelids" sound like the same discription I got too.

No car shop would paint them, and I didn't want to spray paint them myself, because it would look cheap.

Finally, I sent them back to the manufacturer to have them painted.

The paint cracked while I was installing them, and I was so tired of dealing with the shady manufacturer I just threw them away.

Worst waste of $80.00 I've ever spent.
