Default tyc tails.

Anyone know what kind of fuse the tyc taillights are running on? One of my friends are trying a different led taillight design, but the led's keep burning out. I think it's the fuse. So please let me in on the tyc secret.. Thanks.

tycs are using the same exact fuse as the regular stock one... nothing special... no secret at all...

it's only because of the crappy taillights he bought that causes the fuses to blow.
try looking at this...

wow... I think you guys must be pretty bored.. lol.. He didn't buy the taillights btw, he's somewhat "retro fitting" them, if you will. But for some odd reason, the led's keep burning out.

^^ yes.. i do apoligize... it's beena long day for me and i was somewhat bored.

it's difficult to know the problem without looking at it myself, but i saw that other issues came up with ebay taillights and that's what the link to the other thread is for... not sure.. but hope that helps.

^^x1000. You can't just wire LEDs up. THey're low voltage devices. Generally 3V or less. You need to calculate the total voltage drop for each series / parallel grouping and be ready to install resistors to make up any gap

so to clarify... your friend is just sticking leds in there? he's making something on his own?

cause obviously if the leds and not the fuse are blowing out.. then he's not doing it right...
