Default Ugrading AC.

Is there a way to upgrade the Air Conditioning unit in our cars? It just takes WAY too long for mine to kick in.

i had the same problem here in tampa fl but what i did was shut the passenger vents AND my vent to the left of the steering wheel. so i only have one vent blowing air and thats the vent right about the cd, the one to the left. blows strong and cold and its aimed right to my face lol

Take it to the dealer but dont mess with it your self because you will void the warranty and it not cheap to fix it if something goes wrong...

i just had my oil changed not too long ago and i told the dude who was working on my car that my AC seemed alittle weak compaired to my other cars that i've had before (94 celica, 90 240sx) he told me that on hot temp days, i should put the AC on, let it run for a bit and also have the little air circulation thingy on so that it only gets air from the inside, cuz its quicker to cool in-car air then trying to cool down the hot outside air..

*shrugs*

i hoped that kinda helped.. if not .. well, then sorry. haha

I noticed this.. that the inside is ALOT more cooler if you use the recirculation button rather then using the hotter air outside.. it gets MUCH cooler quicker with the recirc button on because it's cooling more the already cold air vs cooling the hot air that comes in..

there is a TSB (technical service bulletin) about this. talk to ur scion service department and get them to fix it under warrantee. its a...sumwhat volunary recall but not all scion service departments try to recognize it. supposedly it was fixed in the 07's but 05's and early 06's had an issue for sure with this. mine is one of them.
