Will this remove impurities off of a chrome lip? Where can I get a clay bar (autozone, advanced auto parts)?

 

another way to fix overspray is acetone followed by clear coat polish

 

Advance, Auto-Zone, O'Reillys... I've even seen 'em at Wally World before. There're many brands of course, but personally I only trust Meguiars or Mothers... although, I saw a commerical for Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Clay Bar... anyone know anything more about it?

what "clear" did you guys use? i bought some off another SLer and they're matte and want to make them shiny...

I got some silver overspray on my ride yesterday, lol, it was windy and I ran to try and block it

I ran inside and grabbed a micro fiber and tried to wipe it off but it dried very quickly. I elbow greased enough off, then grabbed the Meguiar's Scratch-X, it worked perfectly! Took all the silver paint off, even from my smoked tails.

so yea, what clear coat did you all use? can i buy it at my local autozone/pep boys?

 

i used the cans left over from painting my rims .. it was duplicolor wheel paint

 

that stuff sucks i'll never use that on any of my car parts again. goes on uneven and just sucks ___

of course thats true .. but dupli color wheel paint clear went on smooth for me =D

 

meh i used it on my interior and it didn't turn out as nearly as good as when i used the professional stuff. SO it may turn out ok but i have pretty high standards for what i do myself. I can't remember how many people i've had asked me how much i paid to do that interior and when i tell them i did it myself they ____.
