i dont understand why these ebay companies cant just make precise measurements of the grille slot on the tc and make accommodating grilles

 

I finally got time to put mine in, and I bought it from the same buyer. It looks exactly like a vrd grill and fits perfect. Its just much cheeper. OP, looks like you just got a bad batch of cookies.

 

turn grille upside down from the way you are trying to install and that may fix your issue..........also even my VRD has issues going in at the bottom,and had to install with bumper off to get clips to snap in tight.....flexing the bumper a bit to get the clips lined up.
